ELA 8- We completed chapter 6 today and worked on both our questions and the Milk carton assignment. These are both due Friday.
Science 7- We completed our topic 4-6 quiz and worked on review question from the topic 7 reading and notes.
ELA 9- We completed our point of view narrative writing activity and began the unit 1 review assignment for exam preparation. These unit 1 questions are due Monday.

ELA 9- We discussed and completed the personal response questions for the short story "Golden Girl". Students began rewriting one scene from the perspective of another character. We will continue with this writing activity tomorrow.
ELA 8- We began reading chapter 6 and began work on a "Lost Boy" milk carton ad related to David's departure from the family Del Varichi. Science 7- We reviewed the material on tomorrow's quiz and completed our notes for Topic 7. Students worked on their thermal energy storage unit project questions and diagrams which are due Friday. ELA 9- Students received a midterm review outline and checklist to assist their exam preparation. We completed reading "Golden Girl" and began working on the response questions in class.

Chapter 5 questions and the imagery poster are due tomorrow. Science 7- We began work on our diagrams and questions to accompany the thermos prototypes brought to class today. Prototypes, diagrams, and questions must be handed in this Friday. A midterm review sheet was given out in class today. It includes terms and questions students should review prior to their midterm exam in two weeks. ELA 9- We handed in our comparative essays today. We reviewed our Short Story Elements notes and began reading the short story, "Golden Girl". We will continue reading and discussion work with this story on Monday.
ELA 8- We completed Chapter 5 today and worked on both the poster project and the Chapter 5 response questions. Science 7- We completed some of the notes for topic 7 after submitting the 4-6 review question sheet. There will be a quiz on Wednesday of next week on topics 4-6. ELA 9- Students should have completed their comparative essay in class today so that we may peer edit and revise tomorrow. The final draft of these essays are due on Friday and will be submitted in google classroom.
ELA 8- We competed our question responses for chapter 4 and began working on the imagery and mood comparison between chapter 1 and 4 project. Science- Students completed the topic 4-6 wrap up questions on page 237 #1-4 of the text. These questions are due for tomorrow and will be corrected in class. Students received their thermos project today. Prototypes should be completed over the next few days and will involve students utilizing some household recycling to insulate a regular pop can. Monday we will begin working on the write up for this activity. ELA 9- Students completed supporting (body) paragraphs for their comparison essay. This essay is due Friday. Thursday, rough drafts will be proof read and peer edited.
ELA 8- We read and responded to Chapter 4 following some reading goal reflection for our AR reading this term Science 7- We completed the topic 6 review on page 236 and submitted finished and corrected work for assessment. ELA 9- Students reviewed their AR reading Goals for term 2 and identified strategies to help them achieve success this term. We wrote our introductory paragraph of our comparative essay today and will continue writing tomorrow in class using our outlines.
ELA 8- We reviewed the events of Chapter 3 and began reading Chapter 4 of our novel study. Chapter 4 questions were submitted. Science 7- We reviewed the three methods of energy transfer discussed in topic 6 and the 5 traits of energy transfer systems. We began work on page 236 #1-4 and will complete this review tomorrow. |
