ELA 8-1- We discussed strategies for determining the quality of web resources and began research into Emily Dickinson.
Science 7-3- Students worked on their needs of living organisms poster project today. This project is due for Friday, May 13th.
ELA 9-3- We discussed review and study strategies for Part a of the PAT for Tuesday. Students planned and began an introduction for the released prompt used last year.
ELA 8-1- We discussed strategies for determining the quality of web resources and began research into Emily Dickinson. Science 7-3- Students worked on their needs of living organisms poster project today. This project is due for Friday, May 13th. ELA 9-3- We completed a 40 min practice test for the function writing portion of the PAT coming next Tuesday. Good work during this time. Be sure to study formatting to reduce time taken for address writing.
ELA 8-1- We completed our personal response essay and will hand in either the tribute or this personal response essay tomorrow in class. Science 7-3- We read the introduction to unit 5 and topic 1 and began work on our needs poster project. ELA 9-3- We took a break from writing practice today to begin our novel study. Students learned about circle/restorative justice and listened to the first chapter in our book. We will resume letter and essay practice tomorrow in preparation for Tuesday's PAT exam.
ELA 8-1- we discussed concluding paragraphs and continued work on our essay until the end of class when we visited the grade 5 math fair. Science 7-3 students finished work on page 427 #1-4 and page 433 #1-4 which are due tomorrow. We also completed our study of fossil fuels. ELA 9-3- We completed our 4th personal response essay today with the prescribed 80 minutes of write time. Students should have completed the essay and turned it in at the end of period 4. This will help plan time for next Tuesday's PAT part A exam. We will revise and edit one of the last three essays completed and print it off for final grading. Good work today grade 9s.
ELA 8-1- We reviewed the planning for our second personal response essay and began writing in google classroom. Students should come to class tomorrow with a completed intro paragraph and a start to the body paragraphs. We will continue writing in class after a quick visit to the library. Science 7-3- We used the fossil samples and posters in class to estimate the age and formation of fossils. We corrected page 422 #1-4 as well. |
