We began outlining and writing Part A of our final exam, a personal response essay on the importance of memories in people's lives. Students will continue writing this exam essay in class Tuesday and Wednesday.
We reviewed our final questions for personal response in our novel study and continued work on our projects.

We read and discussed the end to our novel study. Students viewed the movie trailer and we discussed the differences apparent in this short segment of the film. Students completed their chapter 20-23 questions and began work on the final project, a choice of three responses to the theme and plot of the the story.

We completed a short quiz on chapters 1-13 and continued our reading to the middle of chapter 20. We will discuss and work on chapter 14-19 questions tomorrow in class before moving on to the conclusion of the novel.

We read and responded to chapters 9-13 of our novel study The Giver. Students received a tracking page and booklet to support the remaining portion of the novel study.
