We completed page 10 #1 together as review and continued our work on page 10 doing questions 2,3,4,6. Students who finished completed their assessment for lessons 1.1 and 1.2.
We completed our unit 3 exam and continued work on page 10 #1-4,6.
We reviewed page 111 #1,3,5,6,8,9,10 in preparation for tomorrow unit exam. We then used recipe doubling to learn about pattern rules. We will continue working with pattern rules and lesson 2.2 after our exam tomorrow.
We did a patterns activity at the beginning of class to introduce patterns and pattern rules for chapter 1. Students worked on completing and handing in the questions on the chapter 3 review sheet. Remaining class time was spent working on the review/study questions on page 111 #1,3,5,6,8,9,10. These can be used tonight for 15 - 20 minutes of review for Friday's unit test.
We reviewed the quiz from last Thursday and corrected page 90-91 #2,3,5,9. Students worked on the 3.3 assessment sheet covering estimation with decimal numbers.
We completed our math quiz and finished questions on page 90 #2,3,5,9. These questions are due for Monday if not done in class. 5-1 is asked to do up to #2 and 3.

We completed a word problem together requiring addition and subtraction of decimals before reviewing our notes for three methods of estimation. Students worked on page 84 #2,3,4,5,7,8. Students are asked to complete to #5 for tomorrow.
We corrected and completed page 104 #3,5,6,7,8 before working on the assessment for lessons 3.5 and 3.7. Students handed in their completed assessment if done. Those who did not finish in class are asked to have this assignment completed for Monday.
We completed our notes and practiced subtracting decimals as a class prior to working in our text on page 104 #1,3,5,6,7,8. Students not done to #5 are asked to complete these questions for tomorrow.
