We tested our bridges with satisfying crashes today. After the destruction, we reviewed Unit 4 for our final exam. Tomorrow we will discuss Unit 5 and answer any remaining questions before the exam.

We completed a quadrat analysis of our school grounds, comparing a disturbed area to an undisturbed area to determine the effect we have on the local ecosystem. We returned to class to continue our review of units 4 and 5 for final exams.
We reviewed our unit 3 study guide for final exams. Students were reminded about online permission that is needed if they are choosing to leave school after 11 am on exam days.
We corrected our quadrat assignment and discussed the review questions for Topics 6-7 that are due for tomorrow. Students worked on the chapter 2-3 final exam review that we will discuss tomorrow in detail.
We completed our quadrat practice page and began work on the topic 6-7 review questions. Bring your unit 2-3 review sheets to class tomorrow as we will spend some time reviewing these units together before moving on.
We completed our topic 7 notes and did a sample activity demonstrating how to use quadrats to study a larger ecosystem.
We continued our notes and discussion of topic 7, ecosystem monitoring practices.
We completed our topic 1-5 quiz and started work on part 2 of our final exam review package. We completed our reading and discussion of topic 6 from the textbook and will finalize our notes tomorrow.
We corrected the topic 1-5 review assignment and discussed tomorrow's exam. We went outside to find evidence of secondary succession and returned to begin our topic 6 notes and read sections from the text on succession and human impacts of the ecosystem and its balance. Brown Headed Cowbirds were discussed as an example of an unintended consequence of human activity across Canada.
We corrected page 54 and 55 and continued work on our topic 1-5 review for Wednesday's exam. This review sheet is due for tomorrow.
