We corrected questions 2 and 3 from page 96 and continued with questions 5-8. Students began their notes for 3.7, subtracting decimals, which we will continue with tomorrow.
We discussed two methods for calculating decimal addition problems and began our work from the text on page 96 #1-3. We will continue with this work in class tomorrow before moving to subtraction of decimal numbers.
Students wrote their unit 2 exam today and began working on a challenge activity related to addition of decimal numbers. We will begin our new unit on adding and subtracting decimals Tuesday.

We corrected page 72 #2,3,5,6 and completed our assessment for 2.9 and 2.10. Students began working on their unit test review for Friday's exam. We will work on this review together in class tomorrow.
We corrected Page 67 #2,3,5,6. We examined two ways of ordering decimal number before applying these strategies to page 72 #2,3,5,6. These textbook questions are due tomorrow if students did not complete them in class today.
We corrected page 65 #1-4 together as a class. Students worked on page 67 #1 b-c, 2, 3, 5, and 6 in class and we took up these responses together at the end of the period.
We corrected the text work from page 65 and began our lesson 2.9 on rounding decimals. Students worked on page 67 #1,2,3,5 and 6. 5-1 was asked to get to the end of question 1 and 5-2 was asked to complete to the end of #3.
We reviewed the assessment assignment and completed any remaining questions before moving on to the equivalent decimals questions on page 65 #1-4 of the text. Students handed in their 2.6-2.7 assessment sheets. Any not submitted are due at the beginning of class tomorrow.
We corrected our Representing Thousandths booklet and began working on the assessment material for lessons 2.6-2.7. Students may work on this tonight or complete their remaining questions in class tomorrow before moving on.
