We wrote our unit B exam today and continued with our estimation of temperatures activity. Students began reading Topics 1-2 in preparation for the rest of the week's activities in science 7. Cool demos ahead!
We discussed the calibration of thermometers to the degrees Celsius scale and reviewed for tomorrow's unit B exam that was postponed from last Friday.
We had a wonderful Remembrance Day ceremony in the Large gym which prevented us from having sufficient time for our unit B exam. We will write this exam on Wednesday of next week. Students completed the thermometer challenge with the time we had, measuring 8 different temperatures with our lab thermometers.
We discussed the Unit exam and the study guide. We began a very brief introduction to temperature and the need for accurate measurement.
We corrected the topic 6 review questions in class and reviewed the topic 4-5 quiz that was returned to students today. Students used the exam outline to prepare for Friday's unit test. We will discuss this review tomorrow before moving into our Heat and Temperature unit.
We completed our topic 4-5 quiz and the topic 6 review questions due for tomorrow. Students received the unit 2 exam study sheet and we identified useful resources in our text book to support studying for Friday's unit exam.
We discussed tomorrow's topic 4-5 quiz and used the review sheet to prepare for the exam. Students also worked to complete the topic 6 questions which are due Wednesday. We will have a unit exam on Friday of this week.
We completed our notes for Topic 6, our final topic of unit B. Students began work on their Topic 6 review questions.
We handed in our soil sleuth lab activity and had some class time to complete the topic 5 questions from page 162. Students began their topic 6 notes after a theatrical performance from a reporter and insect pest. Thanks for the acting skills Logan.
