We completed our unit 5: Planet Earth unit exam today and worked on our needs posters when finished.

We corrected and handed in our 427 and 433 review assignments. I will return these tomorrow for studying. We discussed the first 7 topics as we went through the exam outline for Wednesday's test. Students should be using this outline to prepare on their own tonight and tomorrow night.
We completed any remaining work on 433 and 427 before moving to work on our needs poster assignment.
We played "Is it alive" and determined the four basic needs of all living things as an introduction to our new unit. Students worked on page 427 #1-4 and 433 #1-4 before beginning their needs poster assignment.
We read and discussed topic 10 and worked on pages 427 #1-4, and 433 #1-4. These questions are due Friday. Our unit E exam in next Wednesday.
We completed a timeline to determine the Earth's history is 450 km long if every century is 1 cm. The age of dinosaurs is 7 km away from the present day. Many of human kind's achievements can fit on a single sheet of paper. The Earth is old. Students began work on the review for topic 9. We will continue this work in class tomorrow.
We competed and marked in class the questions from page 422 on fossils. We continued our notes for topic 9 and discussed the half-life of materials used to date rock and fossil evidence.
We discussed our fossil pretest and examined a real fossil to research its age and the type of organism it came from.
We completed an activity identifying mountain types and handed in page 411 #1-4. Students worked on the review for chapter 7 and the 4-7 wrap up. Page 416 #1-6 and page 417 #1-6 are due for Thursday.
We corrected our volcano and earthquake response questions from Thursday and worked on page 411 #1-4 to be handed in tomorrow. We completed our notes on the various types of mountains and began response work for topic 7.
