Students completed their Unit 1 Weather Watch unit exam and worked on electricity safety rules when finished.
We reviewed for tomorrow's unit 1 exam and continued our introduction to electricity identifying key safety considerations and a general definition of what electricity is.
We corrected the unit 1 review and discussed study strategies. Students received a last study guide to use on their own to prepare for Wednesday's exam.
We continued our review for next Wednesday's Unit 1 exam. Students completed their review questions and will correct these in class to use for study. We began a brief intro to electricity with some of the classes and will do so with the other classes in the coming days.
We completed our Testing Fabrics for Different Weather Conditions response questions. Students began reviewing for the end of unit weather exam to be scheduled for next week. We will review tomorrow and discuss the exam prior to beginning our Electricity unit.
We completed our final tests for our fabric experiment. Students used a dropper to determine which samples resisted water most effectively. We will complete the response to this lab activity tomorrow.
We began our experiment testing 5 different fabrics for weather resistance. Great work today from all groups. Well done grade 5s.
Quiz #3 was returned and corrected in class. Students handed in their Barometer questions and diagrams. We were also able to began our fabric testing lab activity that we will continue with tomorrow. We are testing 5 different fabrics for resistance to temperature extremes and moisture.
