We completed notes on the wetland zones and examined some organisms living in marsh water.
We viewed a film on prairie wetlands and completed questions based on the film. We then used this information to help identify living and non-living elements and their relationships within wetland ecosystems.
We handed in our anticipation page assignment and reorganized our binders for our Wetlands unit. We made an inventory of the living and non-living elements in our school grounds ecosystem and identified key relationships that exist between these parts. We will use this to help us complete the same for a wetlands ecosystem.
We completed an assignment reviewing the types of wetlands and living organisms found in them. Students then completed their anticipation page assignment due for tomorrow.
We discussed the monitoring of amphibians to determine the health of a wetland ecosystem and completed notes on the biotic and abiotic elements in a wetland. Students worked on their anticipation page of science that is due Friday.
We used the wonderville site to monitor the health of a wetland by counting amphibians and comparing our results to a previous study.
We completed a true/false questionnaire and completed our notes on the five types of wetlands before continuing our work on the anticipation page for this unit.
We wrote our chemistry unit exam today and continued our work on the Wetlands anticipation page of science.
We completed our review checklist for Thursday's unit exam and worked on the review questions. We will take these questions up together in class tomorrow so students can use the responses to study with.
We completed a check list for our upcoming chemistry unit exam and identified assignments, notes, and experiments that support the outcomes that will be tested. Students put finishing touches on their iced tea challenge project and turned in their work in google classroom. Please complete the online permission forms for the Wetlands field trip coming up at the end of May. If you have any questions or need help completing the forms, you may contact the office by phone or me via email. Thank you for your support in this.
